A high school special education teacher from Robeson County NC shared her frustration with the new student view not having a single screen where students could see their overall work for a weekly period of time. See her specific email below. However, for many students, especially our EC students, they have difficulties regulating their own usage and often find that they have hyper focused on one subject and the time they have spent on task in different subjects is extremely disproportionate. The My scores page provided them with a brief snapshot of their weekly progress & minutes. This allowed them to help regulate their own time management by allowing them to see for themselves where they are spending their time. I have been having my students add the minutes together to give themselves an idea of their minutes. However, this is extremely time consuming, especially when the class they are currently in is not a math class. For many of my students, adding their time together takes up a significant amount of their time. It is also not feasible for me to continue running reports multiple times throughout the class in order for students to see their current progress.
